Milan is the start-up capital. According to the annual report by the Milan, Monza, Brianza and Lodi Chamber of Commerce, one in five start-ups nationwide is based in Milan. In particular, businesses led by under-35s have returned to growth of 21.6 per cent following an eight-year downturn.

Those setting up a start-up often do not have a large budget to manage logistics and warehousing. One possible solution is to use self-storage units for storage. This makes it possible to rent smaller offices and use an external facility to store goods and items to be dispatched.
